Magpies Colts B 10-3 U.E.A
Magpies began their last game of the season fairly strongly, and the opening goal came from a short corner shot by Shirley McAllen. This was followed by a second goal from Anna Lacey, and Shirley scored again soon after. UEA got their first goal, but Magpies responded when Shirley McAllen got her third goal. Magpies scored again by a strike from Lucy Chubbock. UEA rounded up the scoring in the first half, leaving the score at the end of the first half 5-2 to Magpies.
Magpies started the second half well, and the goals kept coming! Anna Lacey and Lucy Chubbock got their second goals of the game, and Shirley got her fourth. Rhian Earrye scored two. Flora Marfleet had several great saves, and the whole team played really well. UEA had several chances, but only managed to score one in the second half. So the final score after a very eventful game was 10-3 to Magpies Colts B. What a way to end a great season!

Broadland 4-1 Magpies Ladies Colts B
In the first half both teams started strong however Broadland quickly scored but Magpies soon came back with a goal by Anna Lacey who cooley slotted it in from the post. Both teams stayed strong but a break for Broadland meant they scored again making the score at the end of the first half 2-1.
In the second half Magpies struggled to stop Broadlands quick up front players meaning they scored three more times in the second half, although Magpies did have several chances they couldn’t get another goal.

Norwich Magpies Ladies Colts B 1-3 Dereham Colts 2s
The first half saw some great play from both teams however Magpies dominated the first twenty minutes and Beth Alexander scored, however Dereham suddenly picked up their game and equalised at the end of the first half making it 1-1.
The start of the second half both of the teams played well but Dereham once again scored.Magpies did have many breaks but the Dereham defence was very strong.Towards the end of the second half Dereham scored again making it 3-1 and however hard Magpies tried they couldn’t come back. Leaving the final score at 3-1.

Norwich Magpies Ladies Colts B 2-2 Norwich City 3s
The first half saw a lot of good play from both teams and equal amount of chances however Norwich managed to score first putting them 1-0 up.Just before half time Magpies got a goal back from Charlotte Catalano meaning the score at the end of the first half was 1-1.
The second half started with some good hockey and some great passing from Magpies helped score the goal by Rhian Earrye.Norwich made several attacks but Flora Marfleet made some great saves and the defence held them back. Towards the end of the game Norwich equalised after Daphne Beckett had gone off injured meaning the final score was 2-2.

Magpies Ladies Colts B 5-1 Thetford 2s
Despite having no goalkeeper, Harleston Magpies started off strongly, and the opening goal came from Lucy Chubbock within the first five minutes. Magpies had a lot of possession but Thetford defended strongly, preventing several attempts on goal by Magpies. However, Shirley McAllen scored from a short corner with an unstoppable strike, putting Magpies 2-0 up. The young Magpies team dominated the rest of the first half, but were unable to score again.
Thetford started the second half strongly, but this didn’t stop Shirley McAllen from scoring again from another short corner. Almost immediately afterwards, Thetford responded with a goal, after the Thetford attackers broke away from the Magpies defence. After scoring, Thetford came back into the game, and although Magpies missed several chances, Hannah Linger soon scored Magpies fourth goal from close range. Finally, towards the end of the match, Lauren Reeve crossed the ball and Rhian Earrye picked it up and slotted it past the keeper. A good game from both teams, with the final score 5 – 1 to Harleston Magpies.

Magpies Ladies Colts B 8-2 Herlings
In the first half and the drizzling rain Magpies started off well, but Herlings were using their strong hits to their advantage. However Magpies soon got an opening goal from Hannah Linger. Anna Lacey scored the second goal after a cross to the left post. After Shirley McAllen came off, Herlings scored from a short corner. The third magpies goal came from a penalty flick taken by Lucy Chubbock. The final goal of the first half was slotted in by Rhian Earrye. By the end of the first half, magpies were 4-1 up.
The second half saw magpies get off to a sluggish start, allowing Herlings to score again. But soon magpies were back in the game with another goal from Hannah Linger. Shortly after, Hannah Linger and Lucy Chubbock were working well together, and scored. Towards the end of the second half, Lucy Chubbock scored from another penalty flick. Finally, with minutes to go, Karen Ray scored from a short corner, making the final score 8-2. Some great goalkeeping from Flora Marfleet who made several excellent saves, and great play and effort from the whole team.

Magpies Ladies Colts B 2-2 Diss Ladies 1s
This started off as a very even game. Magpies had several short corners in the first half and managed to put away a goal from one of these near the end of the first half thanks to Shirley.
During the second half Diss put away their first goal making it 1-1. Magpies played well and managed to pull another goal back from a short corner routine slotted in by Shirley. Diss continued to fight hard and managed to score an equaliser in the final few minutes.
Norwich Union Ladies 4s 1-6 Magpies Ladies Colts B
In the first half it was quite an equal game but by half time Magpies had scored 2 and Norwich 1.
In the second half Magpies continued to fight hard and the goals soon came.
The final score as 6-1 Goal scorers were Shirley McAllen – 3, Rhianne Earrye – 2, Lucy Chubbock – 1.
Magpies Ladies Colts B 4-0 Magpies Ladies 6s
In the first half things were looking good for both teams both teams played some good hockey. However Colts B scored the first goal by Rhian Earye and things went downhill for Ladies 6th after that because one of their players went off un-well and Janet unfortunately went off injured.
However they kept going and Colts B scored again by Lauren Reeve. The second half started with Shirley McAllen scoring a great goal from a short corner. Making it 3-0 and towards the end of the game Bethany Alexander scored from a great pass through from Hannah Lingar. The final score was 4-0.
Player of the match went to Charlotte Catalano and great teas from Daphne.
UEA 3s 5-1 Magpies Ladies Colts B
On a very cold morning and a delayed start because of a lack of umpire for the UEA play eventually started with UEA quickly getting their first goal. Magpies played well but could not prevent UEA’s strong forward line quickly adding to this tally to make it 5-0 at half time.
In the second half Magpies fought back strongly Shirley McAllen scored from a short corner and the UEA failed to add any further goals thanks to some good defending from the Magpies.
Magpies Ladies Colts B 11-0 Lowestoft Railway 2s
Lowestoft arrived with 10 players. In the first half the first few minutes brought Shirley McAllen and Rhian Earrye goals and although Lowestoft fought back they were unable to score.
Magpies continued to dominate and scored another SEVEN goals to finish the first half 9-0. In the second half with Magpies having 12 players all the girls had 5 minutes off and played in different positions.
Lowestoft kept their heads up and continued to fight back but conceded two furthers goals the game finishing 11-0.
Goal scorers were Rhian Earrye 4, Tania Pendreich 2, Anna lacey 2, Shirley McAllen 1 and Lauren Reeve 2.
Magpies Ladies Colts B 3-1 Broadland
The first half was dominated by Magpies and Shirley McAllen quickly scored from a short corner.
With Magpies having most of the play they went into half time with two goals up thanks again to Shirley. The second half found Broadland back in the game but with determination from the colts Rhianna Earrye put in Magpies third.
Broadland then put away their only goal of the match finishing 3-1.
Lucy Chubbock had an excellent game in centre mid and Tanya on left mid and Mary Wright played well on her debut. Not forgetting Flora who played excellently in goal making some good saves.
Norwich City 3rds 1-1 Magpies Ladies Colts B
The first half of the match was very even with the play both in the Norwich half and Magpies half. Both teams had chances to score but the goalies were making some brilliant saves at both ends.
There were a couple of short corners for both teams but no one managed to find the back of the net. So at the end of the first half it was 0-0.
Both teams started the second half well. About ten minutes into the the half Norwich City scored a goal to take the lead. Magpies kept there heads up and about 10 minutes to go Charlotte Catalano took the ball from the 75 yard line and ran with the ball took it past the defence and put the score to 1-1.
A excellent effort by all the team!
Magpies Ladies Colts B 3-3 Thetford 2s
In the first half Thetford were quick off the mark and scored an early goal. Magpies kept their heads up and equalised from a short corner by Shirley.
Despite a lot of pressure from Magpies the score remained1-1 at half time.In the second half after some cooling refreshments Magpies quickly scored again by Beth but Thetford fought back and scored their second goal of the game.
Magpies again kept the pressure up and Hannah on her debute scored the third goal.With minutes to go Thetford managed to pull one back to bring the final score to 3-3.
Herlings 2-2 Harleston Magpies Ladies Colts B
The first half was tough for both teams Magpies kept a lot of the possession but Herlings kept fighting back and were very strong in defence.
The first goal scored was from Magpies by Beth Alexander and the score stayed 1-0 for the rest of the first half. The second half saw Herlings with most of the possession and many short corners, scoring a goal from one of these short corners and levelling the score at 1-1, then Herlings managed to score another putting them into the lead at 2-1.
After Herlings two goals they had one disallowed. Magpies kept their heads up and managed to bring the score back to 2-2 giving Beth her second goal of the game. Although both teams kept up the hard work the score remained 2-2 at the final whistle.
Diss 4-2 Harleston Magpies Ladies Colts B
The dreaded phone call was received Saturday am, but we carried on regardless with just 10 players and no goalie.
The match started a bit lively for Diss and we sound found ourselves 2 goals down. But we didn’t panic (at least not too much) and we became more accustomed to the grass and soon started to attack the Diss goal when up popped Mrs McAllen to calmly put away a short corner. By half time we’d equalised with a fine goal from Anna Lacey and hopes were high(ish).
The second half was quite even, with some sterling work by Mrs Absolon who was playing an impressive kicking back. As we pressed for an equaliser Diss scored a breakaway goal, for the final score to be 4:2 to Diss. Every member of the team played their part and hopes are high for a win next week.
