HARLESTON MAGPIES LADIES WEEKEND PREVIEW
This Saturday Harleston Magpies Ladies are at home against Cambridge City starting at 12.30. After a difficult first half of the season Magpies have turned their season around with three straight League wins against Horsham at home 2-1, Surbiton away 2-1 (until then unbeaten League leaders) and last week 3-0 away against Old Loughtonians. Those nine points have seen them pull away from the relegation zone to the comparative safety of mid table.
This Saturday Cambridge City are the visitors who are currently in 9th position and last week they lost at home 2-1 to Dereham in a crucial bottom of the table clash. Magpies will be anxious to keep their good run going but need to be very aware that teams that are struggling can often prove difficult opponents. Cambridge City discovered that last week against a Dereham side that secured their first points of the season.
Last October Magpies beat Cambridge City away 2-0 to secure their first points of the season. At the time that was a much needed three points to kick start Magpies season. Last year Magpies drew at home against Cambridge so they know that they can be difficult opponents. However Magpies are a team playing with much more confidence and it is important they keep their momentum going with another win.
