HMHC SEEKING A NEW GIRLS YOUTH DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

HARLESTON MAGPIES HOCKEY CLUB ARE SEEKING A NEW GIRLS YOUTH DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Harleston Magpies Hockey Club are looking for a new Girls Youth Development Officer to be in place with effect from the start of next season. The Club already has a very successful and ambitious Girls Youth Section, which continues to develop and deliver players across the team spectrum from Ladies 7ths through to Ladies 1sts (who have played at National League level for the last 18 years). Successful girls teams have also been developed at mini hockey level, U10 and U12s, U14 Development as well as U14, U16 and U18 age group teams who regularly compete in Regional and National finals, both indoor and outdoor.

The role is to plan and deliver the strategic direction for the Girls Youth section. It is possible that this could be a role for two people, one covering the Mini Hockey section and another covering the U13-U18 Girls.

In brief the role(s) also cover(s) the following:

Handling enquiries from potential new members, ensuring that players are in the appropriate coaching groups, appointing coaches/managers for all the age group teams, entering teams in the national competitions, advising players/parents regarding the England Hockey Pathway system, overseeing Mini Tournaments, liaising with the Boys Youth Development Officer and leading/supporting the youth coaches.

The Youth Committee is there to support the Youth Development Officers in many of the administrative tasks.

An appropriate coaching contract is available for the right candidate who has the ability and experience to lead the respective coaching sessions (including any summer programmes).

If you believe you have the ability and desire to take on this challenging yet rewarding role please contact either Nick McAllen (Nickmcallen) Nickmcallen or David Johnson (youthchairman) youthchairmanasap to discuss further, or by the end of March in any case.
