LADIES 4TH TEAM REPORT 20TH OCTOBER 2018

Ladies 4thTeam v Broadland 2 W 2-0

The ladies 4ths we’re away this week at Taverham playing Broadlands 2nds. The team was looking youthful, fielding 8 U18 players.
We started off the game fighting for every 50/50 ball and some great calling – we were determined to win this game !
A well worked goal allowed Cassie Ayms to open the scoring and several short corners followed. Treacle (who is abandoning the team soon for a mid season break!) stepped up for a short corner, slipped it left to Grace Collison who calmly slapped it in the back of the net. 2-0 before half time things were looking good.
We were not going to let this lead go ! Victoria Spouncer who came into her element playing a forward was diving in front of the keeper – what dedication ! The ball for the first time this season was being pivoted round the back 3 of Izzie Slade, Sophie Baxter and making her debut for Magpies Rosie Osbourne. Confidence was growing ! The midfield of Sophie Matsell, Julie Davy, Ellen Pope and Imi Ramsdale where tracking players down so they had no where for them to go.
Forwards of Cassie Ayms, Alice (The Bolt) EH, Victoria Spouncer and Grace Collison were using there speed to get round the Broadland defence. Alice Gooch wasn’t troubled in goal.

Final score 2-0 to Magpies – we were so chuffed to get our first win under our belts.

We would like to thank the manager Mummy Spouncer and John Pope for umpiring plus
