LADIES 5TH TEAM REPORT 13TH OCTOBER 2018

Ladies 5th Team v Lowestoft Railway 2nds W 7-2

The 5ths made an excellent start moving the ball with pace and accuracy.  Possession was dominated by magpies early on and many chances created.  Jess Menzies opened the scoring to settle any nerves, 4 more goals were scored without answer in the first half, 2 for Honey Lamdin, one for Beth Moodie and a second for Jess.  The score was kept respectable in the first half with some excellent goalkeeping and the fact that the magpies captain was having a real off day.  In the second half the 5ths took their foot off the gas a little and allowed Lowestoft back into the game conceding 2 soft goals.  Captain Tibbenham finally scored only for the Lowestoft umpire to confer with the magpies umpire and change the decision, not Jose’s day!  Mollie Largent then got on the scoresheet to make it 6 before going off injured after a collision with one of the opposition.  Finally Tibbenham rapped up the victory in the final minute finally hitting the target.  Next week Magpies take on Dragons away.
