Ladies 6th Team v Pelicans 3 W 5-0

Following a two week break for half term the ladies 6s were keen to get back into playing matches; A dynamic warm up the hill ensured the ladies were ready and enthusiastic for push back.
The team started strongly, passing the ball effectively around the field of play.
Link up play from midfield to forwards was strong in the first half. Shirley McAllen finding Georgie Hood in good space to lead an attack from the right hand side of the pitch. Janna Freeman was a constant threat in the Pelicans D forcing the keeper to have to make some good saves.
Judith Masters, Rachael Clifford and Laura Woodgate worked well together on the left to ensure the Pelicans were under constant pressure.
Magpies ended the half 4:0 up and with positive words from Captain Flea Perry they went into the second half determined to break their record of scoring four goal per match.
The young Pelicans side started the second half determined to claw back a goal. Magpies worked hard to ensure this didn’t happen, Holly Morris battling hard in midfield to thwart any Pelicans attacks.
Great clearances from defenders Jane Collins, Frankie Wildmun, Marie Davy and Liv Carter meant Imogen Flatt was untroubled in goal.
Magpies legs did seem to tire slightly, with some less effective passing play creeping  in, but they still put a lot of pressure on the Pelicans D.
Final score 5:0. Goal Scorers were Janna Freeman x2 Rach Clifford x2 Georgie Hood x1
