Ladies 7s were the last team to play in the Norwich City hockey fest on Saturday. Magpies were in attacking mode from the start and were rewarded with a goal after constant pressure by debutante Jess Tarrent. City were able to equalise as their forwards headed into the gloomy half of the pitch and a goal mouth scramble resulted in the ball crossing the line. The second half saw magpies again working hard and keeping possession of the ball and we went ahead in the game for the second time with Ellen Moodie on the score sheet yet again. However, it was not to be, with short corner after short corner being given and a defender wrongly sent to the half way line City were able to equalise. A hard drawn game with special mention to all our young players who played their socks off!
