The Ladies III made an early start at Taverham for their first league match against Norwich City II. They made a bright start and once Frances Taylor at centre midfield took control the goals started to go in. Georgie Scott and Sophie Moore were solid in defence whilst Amy Brook began to regain her confidence after injury.

Magpies went ahead after a number of short corners and breaks in open play and only conceded one back after a quick break and a lapse in marking. Goals game from Sarah Brook (2), Hannah Linger (1) and a hat trick from Holly Baker.

The last ten minutes were a bit muddled and another goal was conceded but this does not take away from the excellent team performance which saw the defence and midfield working the ball down both wings with close control and some excellent forward play showing the potential for open play goals for the rest of the season. Well done to everyone in the team.
