Match Report- Men’s O50s – Sunday 13 March 2016

Harleston Magpies 1 Richmond 2

Harleston Magpies are out of the England Over 50s Men’s Masters Cup after their 2-1 home defeat by Richmond, their conquerors in the 2014 final. Richmond went ahead in this semi-final clash early in the first half when Mark Precious converted a penalty corner. Magpies were soon on level terms when Jon Aldridge set up Andy Caston for the equaliser only for Richmond to edge ahead again just before the interval through Chris Rule. Magpies were the dominant side in the second half but the ball would not fall for them in several goalmouth scrambles. Richmond now meet Ben Rhydding of Yorkshire in the final on Sunday 1 May.
