Men 4s – MATCH REPORT

Magpies 4s 7-0 Lowestoft Railway 1s

Magpies put in a very strong performance from start to
finish in order to secure 3 more points in division
3NE.

The development team started strongly, putting
pressure on the opposition from the initial push back.
And after some solid defence and good passing moves,
Magpies found themselves 4-0 up at half time including
a penalty stroke from Will Harrison after good work
from Dan Legg and Richard Larkin in a break away move.

The second half also saw magpies on top. Chris Barber
completed his hat trick with a good variety of goals
and looked very lively up front, making good movement.
Richard Larkin managed to score his second after
converting the second penalty stroke of the match.
Mark Legg in goal also made some very good last ditch
saves which helped keep a clean sheet in defence. The
performance was very encouraging in many aspects, with
Dan Legg’s fitness looking improved, and no weak
performance amongst any of the team. Hopefully Magpies
will look to consolidate their 4th place in the league
in the last few fixtures.
