The Under 13 girls receiving their 6th set of winners from the Norfolk club tournaments this season.
The Under 11 girls received certificates for coming 3rd.
After a slow start (0-0 draws against Dereham A and Watton – we hit the post twice) the girls played their best game of the season in beating Norwich City for the first time in 6 attempts. This was followed by two good wins against Dereham B and Norwich City B. A draw in the last game against Pelicans would have seen Magpies finish as runners up. But despite a brilliant performance by Ana Berry in goal (her Dad counted 7 saves in this match) we eventually conceded our only goal in the tournament.
These girls have improved so much during the season particularly in defence. Half of the team can play in this age group again next year. Girls like Beatrice Flatt and Katie Crawford are going to be very strong under 11 players next year and look forward to hopefully winning some tournaments. Other players yesterday were Hollie Hunter, Ellie Eglington, Krystal Jenkins, Sophie Long, Kara Kilbourn and Emily Mckluskey.
