Welcome to Harleston Magpies Hockey Club, a thriving family friendly Community Amateur Sports Club in the heart of the Waveney Valley. Run by an inspiring group of volunteers we are an aspirational and successful Club recognised nationally within junior hockey but most importantly we are inclusive, offering excellent playing and training opportunities for boys and girls of all abilities from school years 1 and upwards.
Harleston Magpies Hockey Club has a thriving youth section with over 300 junior members ranging from the age of 5 to 18 – boys and girls.
In the younger age groups focus is particularly on the 'taking part' and development of core skills in a safe environment. We firmly believe that a positive and enjoyable hockey experience at a young age will enable all our club juniors to go on and realise their full potential at Magpies and within the wider hockey community of Schools, University teams, clubs and within England Hockey's Player Pathway and National squads.
However don't be fooled by our rural location - we aim to punch above our weight! Last season our successes included: U18 girls reaching the last 16 of the National Cup; U12 boys East Runners Up and Norfolk champions, U10 girls and boys East Finalists and Norfolk runners up.
