Womens 3s vs North Norfolk W1

Womens 3s Match Report 21.10.23

The womens 3s played North Norfolk 1s with a push back of 13:30. Even though the thought of playing in morbid weather was not so appealing, The team kept smiles on their faces and played to their usual high standards.

The game started with Magpies having the majority of possession, moving the ball around the pitch well and putting lots of pressure on North Norfolk all over the pitch. The press from all around with players working hard and recovering their lost balls. The first goal was scored by Angie within the first 50 seconds!!! Which followed by the team holding strong, using all their techniques practiced at training and working together as a team. 17 minutes in Angie scored Magpies second goal, leaving the score at 2-0. Unfortunately a green card was awarded to Hipwell, despite this inconvenience Hipwell cane back on, learning from her mistakes and continued played to the teams usual high standards. The first half we spent mostly attacking like we have and this resulted in numerous balls being turned over high up the pitch. The defence marshalled any North Norfolk attacks well with keeper (Meg Adams) rarely called into action. After standing strong Magpies achieved the half time score of 2-0.

The second half continued in much the same manner, 36 minutes into the second half Charlotte scored an excellent goal dribbling into the D and scoring a clean strike. Closely followed by two other terrific goals from Alyssa. With 15 minutes left, the team kept the passion and the drive to keep possession of the ball, the team was able to keep up the high performance and the high score. When everyone thought that Magpies was going to walk away with a fantastic score of 6-0, Kit scored a brilliant goal in the final minute that left the matches final score as 7-0 to magpies! GO MAGPIES!

Lots of positive teamwork and lots of strong goals, and good consistency of high standards when playing.
