Women's 4s Match Report 25.11.2023

It was an icy cold day, Jim was watching the game so we knew we had to play well.

The first half was a fairly even match, closely contested. There was good play from both teams. The possession was quite equal, even time was spent in each D. However the ball was in their half around 60% of the time.

As we had 14 players we had plenty of subs so we rotated mainly the forward line which helped to keep the game play quick.

Half time was blown. After the inspiring talk from Jim we went back out to score 2 goals making the score 2-0 to us.

A good passage of play was rewarded by a short corner after 14 minutes of the second half, sienna took full advantage of this, giving us a goal on the scoreboard.

The second goal was created by a penalty flick, Ana won this for us. Lila took the responsibility for the flick, it was a strong flick right into the corner the goalie couldn't reach it. As a result of this we were 2-0 up after 19 minutes.

Caitlin made some excellent saves keeping Christchurch with no goals on the board.

Everyone played very well with some great game play.

Player of the match Sienna Iaccarino
