The game started strong with a goal in the first minute, a lovely run up from Anastasia into the circle with a shot on goal lead to a deflection by Angie. Izzy W made a lovely run up the right hand line and into the circle, which lead to our first short corner. Another goal was scored by Angie dribbling through the circle to score. 9 minutes into the first half, another short corner was awarded to us, a strong Injection lead to a lovely strike at the top of the circle by Darcy which was deflected off the goalie into the top of the net. 3-0. We all attacked well in the first half with another goal being scored. At half time it was 4-0.
In the second half, we got 2 more goals from Anastasia and Izzy Parkin. Our defence was strong with many defending short corners being awarded but the defenders continued to prevent Colchester from scoring. The final score was 6-2.
