Magpies started off strong for the first ten minutes, on top of UEA before conceding a short corner which UEA put away. Following another mistake by magpies giving UEA their second goal from a short corner of the day. Followed by Tristan Baynes converting a magpies short corner to make it 2-1 going into half time.
Coming out of half time magpies conceded another goal making it 3-1, followed by Sam Emms getting a lucky call of a deflection making it 3-2. This was followed by josh means putting away a bobbly cross across the D a few minutes later making it 3-3 tying up the game. Magpies then gave away a penalty flick after an unsavoury tackle making it 4-3 to UEA.
Magpies then came back winning a short corner with the UEA keeper making an incredible save but was not ready for Sam Emms to slot away a reverse stick shot making it 4-4. Magpies then went on to give away another penalty flick, with UEA once again going ahead 5-4, followed up very soon after with another goal for UEA against the run of play making it 6-4.
Magpies then dominated the last 10 minutes of the game with a short corner put away by Andy Hipwell in the dying seconds of the game to make it a 6-5 to UEA.
