Womens 6s vs Carrow W1

Womens 6s Match Report 16.09.23

The W6s first outing of the season saw us field a significantly changed side from last season. It is fantastic to see talent and new players coming through the club teams.

The 6s started the game with a very swift reality check when the opponents swept through to score in the first minute. Undeterred, the 6s stuck to their task, creating many opportunities for end to end play. Indeed, despite going down to 3:0 the magpies side never gave up, Jess Ball finishing off a good team move to score in the last minute of the match.

No PoM this week as I wanted to say well played to all, we finished the game looking strong and resilient. Excellent performances by all. Many thanks to Ali Buck for stepping in last minute as goal keeper, cracking saves! Many thanks to Sarah Cole for her support and guidance on the sideline. And Mr Cole for his words of encouragement. Many thanks to Richard Gill for coming to an away game to umpire. Many thanks to our excellent supporters, particularly Mr Foster who found himself performing car valet services part way through spectating. Many thanks to all who have done so much to get our season started. We couldn't play without you. #goalswillcome
