The first half started off strong with most of the play in the Ipswich half. We made 3 short corners within the first 20 minutes. With Ana and Darcey having a shot on goal, both being saved by the keeper. Lila was doing a great job to keep the ball in Ipswich’s D.
23 minutes in Mel took a strong hit from the top of the D the keeper failed to save this, making the score 1-0 to us.
After a team talk with Treacle and Vanessa at half time, we went back out and after 5 minutes we earned ourselves another 2 short corners, unfortunately nothing came of these.
Harriet and Izzy P played very solid defence making some great transfers throughout the pitch.
27 minutes in Poppy kept pressuring the Ipswich defence which resulted in a goal for her, making the score 2-0.
It was a very exciting game and we played very well making us the new top of the table.
