The Women's 2s played Bishop Stortford this weekend who were sitting top of the table in the East Prem.
The squad welcomed back Sienna, Chloe, Perdie and George to the team this week.
Bishops Stortford demonstrated why they were top of the league for the first 15 minutes of the game. They moved the ball well and made it difficult for Magpies.
After a quick free hit, they won a short corner. The initial shot was saved but the second strike bounced into the bottom corner. Magpies responded quickly and applied pressure with the forward line using their speed to take on the oppositions defence but unfortunately did not score.
Half time: 0-1.
Magpies continued to have the run of the play, taking quick free hits and winning short corners. Unfortunately they were not able to convert these due to some excellent saves from the opposition's keeper. Magpies fought until the end but unfortunately had to settle for their first loss of the season.
