Womens 4s vs Norwich Dragons W2

Women's 4s Match Report 16.11.24

The day was Saturday 16th November ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ, the team was raring to play some liquid Hocks ๐Ÿ‘ against the mighty Norwich Dragons 2s๐Ÿ‰. After another superb ๐Ÿ‘Œ warmup ๐Ÿ™†โ€โ™€๏ธ lead by Mel, we were ready to rock and roll ๐ŸŽธ. The whistle ๐Ÿ˜— went and dragons ๐Ÿฒ had first push back. Right from the off it was noted they had a sneaky player ๐Ÿ whom we collectively called โ€˜leggings๐Ÿฆต๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘–โ€™. Leggings was slithering her way through the field ๐ŸŒพ but was no match for our strong ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ defence. Unfortunately in the 16th minute the mythical creatures ๐ŸงŸโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸงŒ scored.

At half time the score remained 1-0, we were confident we could claw it back. We had a great team talk ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ with some sweets ๐Ÿฌ and oranges ๐ŸŠ and were ready to take on the rest of the game. It wasnโ€™t a great start to the second half ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผโ€ฆ The mythical beasts ๐Ÿ‘น scored in both the 36th and 38th minute, Iโ€™ll give it to them they were some pretty good goals ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿฅ…. So then the battle โš”๏ธ continued, we had some amazing ๐Ÿ’ฅattacking play and brilliant defending๐Ÿ™Œ. Although, I must say most of it was great apart from Kate getting a green card ๐ŸŸฉ and being sent off for 2mins ๐Ÿคญ. Sadly, we conceded in both the 53rd and 69th minute โฑ๏ธ. However, just before the last goal of the game a mythical creature ๐Ÿ‰ also got a green card.

The game ended in disappointing ๐Ÿ˜” 5-0 loss, but the score definitely does not ๐Ÿšซ reflect ๐Ÿชžthe level of hockey ๐Ÿ‘ played and the fight ๐Ÿคบ we magpies ๐Ÿฆ… (I know this is not a magpie emoji but itโ€™s close enough) put in. We played some beautiful smooth like butter ๐Ÿงˆ hockey and Iโ€™m very proud ๐ŸŽ–๏ธof the whole team.

Our player of the match goes to the wonderful Lexi, we can always count on her to keep the engine running ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ , never missing a tackle๐Ÿ‘, and always helping on the attack๐ŸฅŠ (with some pretty wicked ๐Ÿช„skills).
