The date was the 2nd November 2024 📆, the women's 4s were about to take on the UEA in an ultimate showdown match 🏑 . After a brilliant warmup🏃♀️ run by Mel we were all limbered up and ready to go.
The whistle blows💨, the game begins… just two minutes in we get a fantastic goal 🙌 from the incredible Cara, a beautiful goal 🥅 scored from the goalies rebound!! With the team hyped up 🤪and the winners 🏆 momentum behind us 15mins later we gain an attacking short corner… BOOM 💥 , a fabulous goal from the one and only Ang with a straight strike🤩. 5mins after the first short we gain another💪🏼, this time Anna scores with a beautiful slip into the left bottom corner🎉! The excitement doesn’t stop there, four minutes after that we get yet another short, and of course the lovely goal comes from Ang👏🏼. The UEA seemed a bit deflated they were losing 4-0, so they came back fighting 🥊 and managed to score a goal through a short corner.
After a few orange slices🍊, haribos🍬, and a team talk 🗣️ later we’re back on for the second half🏑.
The team put together some beautiful play, amazing skills and passing from all the girls🫶🏼. The team managed to keep a lot of momentum during attack and successfully scored from another short corner (Ang scored of course giving her a hat trick thus far!!!)🙌🏅. Not long after that goal the spirits were high as the team gained another short, and who better to get our 6th goal than the serial goal scorer herself… Ang! 🥅💥🎉
The team played an amazing game, finished with a very good score of 6-1🏆. Our MOM goes to Jess-Rae 🥇.
